The board of directors can create committees as needed. The president of the board shall appoint all committee members and committee chairs, and members of the committees do not have to be members of the Council.
The 2007 committees are:
Children's Theatre: In charge of the basic setup and running of the annual children's theatre program/workshop in Platte County.
Arts Festival: In charge of the basic setup and running of the annual arts festival.
Membership: In charge of the annual membership drive, and the primary duty of the committee is to identify places and people to approach for membership in the council. They are not required to make initial contact with prospective members.
Ways & Means: In charge of the fundraising plan, as well as recommending areas to spend funds, the primary duty is (as with the membership committee) to identify possible sources of funding. They also manage the scholarship.
Calendar Printing: creating an arts calendar for April 2007 to April 2008.
